Los Angeles authorities decided to drop 96 million “shade balls” into the 75-acre reservoir which made many media sources and citizens surprised.

However there is a quite simple explanation to it. That was made to protect water.

Daily Mail explained: “They balls work by floating on the surface and blocking the sun rays to prevent the water from evaporating. By doing this, they also prevent the chemical reaction that creates the carcinogenic compound bromate.”

Man mistakenly calls 911 while robbing a home

       
    Authorities say a man planning a burglary inadvertently dialed 911, allowing dispatchers to listen in on his conversation. Somerset County prosecutors say Branchburg police received the errant call on July 27, but were unsure of the caller's location.

 They learned that the phone number had recently been assigned to 42-year-old Scott Esser.

Esser was arrested on Wednesday, after he allegedly entered a Stafford Township home. He's now charged with that burglary and others in Branchburg and Berkeley Heights.

A police officer, Brad Miller in suburban Dallas has killed a college football player, Christian Taylor, after shooting him during a struggle at a car dealership store.

According to reports, the unarmed 19-year-old was shot and killed during the struggle and crashed a car through the front window of a car dealership.

Taylor, a sophomore at Angelo State University in San Angelo, has been pronounced dead as a result of the shooting by the 43-years old officer.
